Portrait of Isabelle follows three years in the life of a 10-year-old Mt. Shasta, California girl with Rett Syndrome. The documentary offers an intimate glimpse into Isabelle’s life, her family’s love, and her mother’s uncommon devotion in ensuring Isabelle receives the best possible education. Isabelle’s ability to communicate her joy in life without words leaves an impression on each person who meets her. The film tells a compelling story of the power of non-verbal communication.
